Globe Valve

Globe Valve

manual globe valve

‘FLOWON’ make Globe Valve are highly used for throttling purpose in many industrial applications. Globe Valve is a device used for regulating flow in the pipeline with the help of plug or disc which moves in linear motion. During closing of valve, the chamfer degree of movable disc or plug and seat ring exactly matches with each other providing tight and leak free shutoff.

Based on type of body pattern, Globe Valve can be classified as:

  • Standard Pattern (‘T’ pattern or ‘Z’ pattern): It is most common type of body design. The Stem and disc travel perpendicular to the flow direction. This design offers high resistance to flow and pressure drop. This type valve is most commonly used for throttling services where pressure drop is not the concern.
  • Angle Pattern: The inlet and outlet end of this Globe Valve are at 90⁰ The coefficient of flow, pressure drop and flow resistance is low as compared to standard pattern. The main advantage of this type of design is it reduces number of joint and eliminate pipe elbow.
  • ‘Y’ Pattern: ‘Y’ Globe Valve offers minimal flow resistance and high pressure drop. Seat and stem are angled at 45⁰ angle for a straight flow path which offers least resistance to flow. They are extensively used for throttling application where minimal flow resistance is required.

KEY FEATURES OF ‘FLOWON’ GLOBE VALVE

  • The backseat is hard faced and threaded in bonnet for low wear and tear.
  • Travel stroke is less as compared to gate valve.
  • Good throttling capacity as compared to other valves.

SPECIAL FEATURE

  • For Vacuum Services, Lantern ring is provided on both sides of gland packing.
  • Bare Shaft valve suitable for Mounting Electrical and Pneumatic Actuator.
  • Extended Bonnet feature is provided for CRYOGENIC application Valves.
